Online PaymentBelow is an overview of my typical charges for my time and services. I won't charge for call out within a 15 mile radius of Newbury*
I am always happy to help; simple advice on the phone or by email will not be chargeable, it is in my interest to offer you a helpful service for repeat custom.
Initial consultation and diagnoses will be charged as a full hour at £25.00.

Policy

I can collect or repair on site dependent on the diagnoses of the problem. *There is no call out fee within a fifteen mile radius of Newbury (click here to see free call out coverage area map). For calls outside of this area a minimum £5.00 call out charge will be applied with an additional sum of £0.50p per mile.

Initial consultation and diagnoses, including resolution, up to the first hour is charged at £25.00. Hourly rate thereafter charged at £25.00. A charge of £15.00 is made for work completed within 40 minutes. (Remote connections subject to minimum charge, hourly rate is charged at £22.50).
Wireless setup includes the connection of 2 computers/laptops with basic router configuration. Each additional computer and/or network configuration is charged at the standard hourly rate.
Memory upgrade does not include the cost of parts.
The no fix no fee policy for hard drive recovery is only applicable when no data can be recovered. If partial data can be recovered then the fee will apply. I will aim to recover all of the data, but cannot be liable for corrupted files and physical hardware damage resulting in irretrievable files.

Quite often diagnoses and fix can be completed within the hour. I will always aim to provide you with the most accurate cost and timescales where possible. Excluded is the cost of any parts if required, I will always agree these costs with you prior to ordering or installing.
If I am unable to resolve the problem due to lack of required; software, CD-ROM, Product Key, or license then the customer is charged for my time spent to that point. If I provide a diagnosis of the problem and the customer decides not to proceed with either the replacement of the component or any other fix procedure, then the customer is charged for my time spent to that point.

I accept no liability for any loss or corruption of data due to repairs or fix, unless a prior backup agreement and charge has been agreed. This includes passwords, email, documents, favourite settings, pictures, music and any other data.
It is advised you back-up all your personal data and settings before sending your computer anywhere for repair, as sometimes re-installing software can cause data loss. If you require help with backing up, please let me know and we can agree a backup strategy prior to any repairs.

Payment Methods

I accept cash or cheques (cheques to be accompanied by a valid guarantee card) as well as PayPal.
For remote connections a minimum charge of £15.00 is required prior to any work commencing, deposited into my PayPal account.
All invoices are payable on delivery unless prior written agreement has been given.
